Disney Cruise Line in the Fall: 2026 & 2027 Itineraries
Disney Cruise Line in the fall is, hands down, one of the most magical times to set sail. The crowds are smaller than in summer, the prices are often better, and the fleet transforms into something genuinely special thanks to two of the most beloved seasonal events Disney Cruise Line offers. From Halloween on the High Seas to the Very Merrytime Cruises, fall brings a layer of Disney magic to every sailing that you simply can’t find any other time of year. Add in some truly exciting new port destinations and a fleet spread across the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Pacific Coast, and beyond, and you’ve got one of the best cruise seasons of the entire year. Whether you’re planning for fall 2026 or starting to look ahead to 2027, this guide covers everything you need to know.

Special Themed Sailings: Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises
Two of the most popular seasonal events in all of Disney Cruise Line happen exclusively in the fall, and they are the reason so many families specifically seek out fall sailings. Here’s what to expect from each.
Halloween on the High Seas
Halloween on the High Seas is Disney Cruise Line’s delightfully not-so-scary take on the spookiest holiday of the year, and it is absolutely everything you’d hope a Disney Halloween celebration could be. Available on select sailings from September through October, this fan-favorite event transforms the ship from bow to stern with festive autumn decor, Halloween-themed entertainment, special character appearances, and more sweet surprises than you can shake a broomstick at. Not every fall sailing includes the event, so be sure to look specifically for itineraries marked “Halloween on the High Seas” when you book.
One of the most beloved traditions is the Pumpkin Tree, which appears in the ship’s Grand Hall or Atrium at the start of the celebration. Each Disney Cruise Line ship has its own uniquely named Pumpkin Tree with its own personality and story, and it becomes the heartbeat of the Halloween atmosphere throughout the sailing. Wander past it at different times of day, and you may experience storytelling moments, glowing gourds, and that perfect combination of cozy, whimsical, and enchanted that only Disney can pull off.
The entertainment highlight of every Halloween on the High Seas sailing is Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, a lively deck party where Disney characters appear in Halloween costumes and invite guests of all ages to celebrate with music, dancing, and lots of smiles. Guests are also encouraged to dress up themselves… (and trust me when I say people get pretty creative with their costumes!) Think playful, family-friendly, and easy to move in so you can trick-or-treat your way around the ship! And yes, there is actual trick-or-treating. Guests can follow a festive path around the ship, collecting treats from designated stops while soaking in the Halloween atmosphere. It’s quick (usually 15-20 minutes), so arrive early. Guests sailing on the Disney Wish get an extra treat with “Who’s Behind the Curtain?”, an interactive experience featuring Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. (Yes, really. And it is as delightful as it sounds.)
Throughout the sailing, select dining locations and lounges offer specialty Halloween desserts, themed treats, and festive beverages. It’s Halloween done the Disney way, layered into the cruise experience without taking over your entire sailing. If you’ve never done a Halloween on the High Seas cruise, I genuinely cannot recommend it enough.
Very Merrytime Cruises
If Halloween on the High Seas is fall at its spookiest, Very Merrytime Cruises are fall at its most magical. Running from early November through late December on select sailings, these holiday-themed voyages transform Disney’s ships into floating Christmas celebrations that are unlike anything else at sea. Picture a towering Christmas tree in the atrium, garlands and wreaths around every corner, characters dressed in their holiday finest, and yes… “snow” falling on the deck in the middle of the Bahamas. It’s pure Disney holiday magic, and it is absolutely worth planning your cruise around.
The centerpiece of every Very Merrytime Cruise is the Legacy Christmas Tree, which anchors the ship’s atrium and sets the tone for the entire sailing. Throughout the voyage, guests can enjoy Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party (the signature deck celebration featuring holiday music, characters, and a whole lot of cheer), Storytime with Mrs. Claus, holiday-themed games and crafts, and on later-season sailings, a life-sized Gingerbread House that is as impressive as it sounds. Characters appear in their holiday best throughout the sailing, with festive costumes you won’t find at any other time of year. Disney’s private island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, also receive holiday decorations during Very Merrytime sailings, which makes for one of the more surreal and wonderful experiences in all of Disney Cruise Line: tropical breezes and Christmas magic all at once.
In 2026, Very Merrytime Cruises will be offered across the entire U.S.-based Disney Cruise Line fleet, including the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. Itinerary lengths range from 3 to 7 nights, depending on the ship and departure port, so there truly is an option for every kind of schedule and budget. These sailings book up quickly, especially the popular late-November and December dates, so book as early as you can!
Fall 2026 Itineraries
September, October, and November 2026.
Fall 2026 is a landmark season for Disney Cruise Line in several ways. Two ships are heading to California for the first time simultaneously, a brand-new port makes its Disney debut, and the full domestic fleet participates in both Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises. Here is what each ship has planned.
Disney Magic
- Departing From: San Diego, California (October); Galveston, Texas (November)
- Destinations: Pacific Coast, Baja Mexico, Mexican Riviera, Western Caribbean, Bahamas
The Disney Magic has one of the most interesting fall 2026 itineraries of any ship in the fleet. After wrapping up its inaugural Alaska season, the Magic repositions to San Diego in October to kick off a new Pacific Coast season, offering 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-night sailings with stops at Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Then, in November, the Magic makes a 14-night repositioning voyage from San Diego to Galveston, Texas, after which it settles in for a Western Caribbean and Bahamian season with 4-, 5-, and 7-night sailings to Cozumel, Progreso, Nassau, and Disney Castaway Cay. The November timing puts the Magic right into Very Merrytime territory in Texas, which is genuinely exciting for families in the South who want a holiday cruise without a cross-country trip.
Disney Wonder
- Departing From: San Diego, California
- Destinations: Baja Mexico, Mexican Riviera
The Disney Wonder joins the Disney Magic on the West Coast in fall 2026, arriving in San Diego in October and offering 3- to 7-night sailings through the Baja Peninsula and Mexican Riviera. Featured ports include Catalina Island, California, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. For fall 2026, this means San Diego is home to two Disney ships simultaneously for the first time ever, which is a genuinely exciting development for West Coast families who have historically had fewer Disney Cruise Line options close to home. Halloween on the High Seas is available on select Wonder sailings in September and October, and Very Merrytime sailings follow in November.
Disney Dream
- Departing From: Fort Lauderdale, Florida; San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Destinations: Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean
After its spectacular European summer, the Disney Dream settles back into familiar waters for fall 2026 with one of the most varied lineups in the fleet. From Fort Lauderdale, the ship offers 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-night Bahamian sailings and 7-night Eastern Caribbean voyages with stops at Nassau, Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Tortola, and St. Thomas. A particularly exciting option is the 7-night Southern Caribbean cruise departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, visiting islands like Curaçao, Aruba, Antigua, and St. Maarten. These Southern Caribbean ports are among the most beautiful Disney Cruise Line visits, and fall is a genuinely wonderful time to experience them. Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime sailings are available on select Dream itineraries from Fort Lauderdale.
Disney Fantasy
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas, Caribbean
The Disney Fantasy returns to Port Canaveral for fall 2026, offering 3-, 4-, and 5-night Bahamian and Caribbean sailings with stops at Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and Nassau. Halloween on the High Seas is available on select Fantasy sailings in September and October, making this a great option for families who want a shorter Halloween-themed cruise from Florida. Very Merrytime sailings follow in November. The Fantasy is a wonderful ship for fall… big enough to have plenty going on, but with that unmistakable Disney magic in every corner. It’s honestly one of our favorite Disney ships!
Disney Wish
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas
The Disney Wish continues its popular short-getaway sailings from Port Canaveral through fall 2026 with 3- and 4-night Bahamian itineraries to Nassau, Disney Castaway Cay, and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Halloween on the High Seas sailings on the Wish come with an extra bonus: the exclusive “Who’s Behind the Curtain?” experience featuring the Sanderson Sisters. (If you’re a Hocus Pocus fan, you already know why this is a big deal.) Very Merrytime sailings follow in November. We have sailed the Wish and genuinely love it. The ship is stunning, and even a 3-night sailing feels like a complete experience. For fall, when budgets and schedules are tighter, the Wish’s shorter itineraries are a genuinely smart choice.
Disney Treasure
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean
The Disney Treasure keeps sailing its signature 7-night Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral throughout fall 2026. Western Caribbean sailings visit Cozumel, George Town (Grand Cayman), Falmouth (Jamaica), and Disney Castaway Cay, while Eastern Caribbean voyages head to Tortola (British Virgin Islands), St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), and Castaway Cay. Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime versions of these itineraries are available on select sailings. A 7-night Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the Disney Treasure is a truly special experience… a full week of Caribbean ports plus a complete themed Halloween day at sea. That is a fall vacation worth planning around.
Disney Adventure
- Departing From: Singapore
- Destinations: Magic at Sea (no port stops)
The Disney Adventure continues its one-of-a-kind “Magic at Sea” sailings from Singapore through December 2026, offering 3- and 4-night round-trip itineraries with no port stops. For guests in Southeast Asia, a fall sailing on the Disney Adventure remains one of the most immersive and unique Disney experiences available anywhere in the world. The ship is the destination, and the entertainment, dining, and themed areas aboard are unlike anything else in the fleet. Note that Disney Adventure itineraries for early 2027 have not yet been announced at the time of writing, which could signal some exciting changes coming for the ship in the new year. We’ll update this section as more details are confirmed.
Disney Destiny
- Departing From: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean, Western Caribbean
The Disney Destiny has an expanded fall 2026 lineup from Fort Lauderdale, offering 4-, 5-, and 7-night itineraries to the Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean, and Western Caribbean. Port stops vary by sailing but include Nassau, Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and Cozumel, Mexico. Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime sailings are both available on select Destiny itineraries this fall. One particularly exciting note for fall 2026: Disney Cruise Line is calling on a brand-new port, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, for the first time ever on select sailings. Puerto Plata is a stunning coastal city with gorgeous beaches, colonial architecture, and a vibrant local culture. A new-to-Disney port is always worth getting excited about!
Fall 2027 Itineraries
September 2027 (additional months coming soon).
Disney Cruise Line in the fall of 2027 is shaping up to be another strong season, but it’s important to note upfront: only some of the September 2027 itineraries have been announced at the time of writing. October, November, and December 2027 sailings are expected to be released sometime between June and August 2026, based on Disney’s historical announcement patterns. We will update this section as new itineraries are confirmed, so check back for the latest! That said, here is what we know so far for September 2027. No special themed sailings have been announced for fall 2027 yet, but that could change as Disney makes further announcements, so stay tuned!
Disney Magic
- Departing From: Vancouver, British Columbia (through mid-September)
- Destinations: Alaska
The Disney Magic wraps up its summer Alaska season in September 2027, with Alaskan sailings from Vancouver continuing into early to mid-September. After Alaska, the Magic is expected to reposition back to the West Coast, but specific fall itineraries beyond September have not yet been announced. Based on the fall 2026 pattern, a return to San Diego followed by a move to Galveston seems likely, but we’ll update this section once Disney makes it official.
Disney Wonder
- Departing From: San Diego, California
- Destinations: Baja Mexico, Mexican Riviera
The Disney Wonder is back in San Diego for September 2027, continuing its West Coast season with 3- to 7-night Baja and Mexican Riviera sailings featuring stops at Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta. October and November itineraries for the Wonder have not yet been released.
Disney Dream
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas
The Disney Dream is sailing from Port Canaveral in September 2027 with 3- and 4-night Bahamian sailings to Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. The Dream was the first Disney ship my family ever sailed on, and it remains one of our favorite Disney ships to this day. Having it in Port Canaveral for the fall is wonderful news for East Coast families. October and November itineraries have not yet been announced.
Disney Fantasy
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas
The Disney Fantasy continues sailing from Port Canaveral in September 2027 with 4- and 5-night Bahamian itineraries to Disney Castaway Cay, Nassau, and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. October and November itineraries have not yet been released.
Disney Wish
- Departing From: Barcelona, Spain; Southampton, England; Civitavecchia, Italy
- Destinations: Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe
The Disney Wish wraps up its historic debut European season in early September 2027, with European sailings continuing into the first part of the month before the ship begins its repositioning voyage back across the Atlantic. The end of the Wish’s European season is a genuinely exciting sailing to consider if you want European ports with potentially softer summer crowds. Specific fall itineraries after the repositioning have not yet been announced.
Disney Treasure
- Departing From: Port Canaveral, Florida
- Destinations: Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean
The Disney Treasure is sailing its signature 7-night Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral in September 2027, visiting Cozumel, George Town (Grand Cayman), Falmouth (Jamaica), and Disney Castaway Cay on Western Caribbean voyages, and Tortola, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay on Eastern Caribbean sailings. October and November itineraries have not yet been announced.
Disney Adventure
- Departing From: Singapore
- Destinations: Magic at Sea (no port stops)
The Disney Adventure’s fall 2027 itineraries from Singapore have not yet been announced at the time of writing. Disney has made a multi-year commitment to sailing from Singapore, so the Adventure will certainly continue there, but specific fall sailing dates are still to come. We’ll update this section as soon as Disney makes the announcement!
Disney Destiny
- Departing From: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Destinations: Bahamas, Caribbean
The Disney Destiny continues sailing from Fort Lauderdale in September 2027, offering its mix of 4-, 5-, and 7-night itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean. October and November itineraries have not yet been released, but based on the fall 2026 season, more of the same great offerings from Fort Lauderdale are very likely to follow.
As a reminder, fall 2027 October, November, and December itineraries have not yet been released by Disney Cruise Line. Based on Disney’s typical announcement schedule, we expect these to drop sometime between June and August 2026. We will update this post as soon as that announcement is made, so be sure to check back! In the meantime, the official Disney Cruise Line website is always the best place to see the latest available sailings.
