About Magic in the Planning
Welcome!
My name is Alyssa. If you want to know more about Magic in the Planning and how this website came to be, you’ve come to the right place!
I still remember my first trip to Walt Disney World. It inspired in me something truly magical. All I could think about once my family returned home was our next trip. In fact, as a young child, I decided to create my own Disney “guide book” with markers and scissors. (And I seriously still have this wondrous work of art!)
By the time we did take our next Disney family vacation, I had done my homework. This was before the days of researching information online, so I was working hard reading the best and most current guidebooks that we got from our local library. My mom allowed me to plan our entire itinerary, and I was hooked. I honestly loved the process of planning a Disney vacation almost as much as taking the trip itself!
Now that I am a wife and mother, I am planning family vacations with our daughters. But things have grown more complicated over the years. After spending countless hours searching Disney planning blogs and forums, I sometimes find myself a bit overwhelmed by it all. So much has changed over the years, and I miss the fun I had as a little girl when planning a Disney vacation was truly magical.
And there you have it. A new website is born. Officially launched July 1, 2019, the goal of Magic in the Planning is to make the process of planning your Disney vacation magical once again! (And can we all agree that we like stress-free planning??)
I’m so glad you’re here!
A little bit about me… I’ve been married since 2010, and I have two beautiful daughters. We also have a super cute corgi named Winnie, and she truly is a part of our family. I love drinking coffee, family movie nights, and you guessed it… vacations to Disney. When I’m not writing or homeschooling my girls, you’ll find me teaching dance classes at our local performing arts studio.
My family and I have traveled multiple times to the Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, and have taken several Disney Cruises in the past six years. And now, I’m excited to share all that I’ve learned to help you plan your own Disney vacation adventure!
