Disneyland Rides and Attractions: The Complete 2026 Guide

|
it's a small world - Disneyland rides and attractions | Magic in the Planning

By Alyssa Howard

There is something about Disneyland that no other theme park in the world can replicate. It was the first. Walt Disney himself walked these streets, rode these rides, and imagined what this place could be. And even after seven decades, that original magic is still completely intact. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or the fiftieth, Disneyland Park has a way of surprising you.

This is your complete guide to Disneyland rides and attractions, organized by land, with Lightning Lane details, height requirements, and honest tips on when to visit each one.

Disneyland Lightning Lane: What You Need to Know

Before diving into the Disneyland rides and attractions themselves, it helps to understand how Lightning Lane works here, because Disneyland operates a little differently from the Walt Disney World parks.

Disneyland uses a Lightning Lane Multi Pass and a Lightning Lane Single Pass, but unlike Walt Disney World, there are no tiers at Disneyland Park. That means you can book any available Multi Pass attraction without worrying about Tier 1 and Tier 2 restrictions. You simply open the Disneyland app once you’ve entered the park, select an attraction with an available return time, and go from there. After you scan into your first Lightning Lane, you can immediately book your next one.

There is also a Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which gives you one-time entry to every Lightning Lane attraction in both Disneyland Resort parks for a single day, with no scheduling required.

Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel receive one complimentary Lightning Lane Multi Pass entry per person per stay as a hotel benefit.

Lightning Lane Single Pass (purchased separately):

  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Lightning Lane Multi Pass (book any available attraction, no tiers):

  • Autopia
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Indiana Jones Adventure
  • “it’s a small world”
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds
  • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
  • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
  • Space Mountain
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

My general advice: Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain, and Matterhorn Bobsleds tend to run out of Lightning Lane return times the fastest. Book one of those first thing after entering the park, then work your way through the others throughout the day. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are also popular picks that go quickly on busy days.

Adventureland Rides and Attractions

Adventureland is where Disneyland’s sense of exotic adventure lives, from the lush riverbanks of the Jungle Cruise to the towering heights of the Adventureland Treehouse. The theming is lush, the attractions are classics, and Indiana Jones Adventure alone makes this land a must-visit priority on any park day.

Fantasyland is the heart of Disneyland, the land Walt Disney himself was most passionate about, where the stories and characters he loved come to life. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Rides and Attractions

Galaxy’s Edge is one of the most ambitious theme park lands ever built anywhere in the world, a fully immersive recreation of the planet Batuu that pulls guests into the Star Wars story as active participants. Even if you’ve never seen a single Star Wars film, the sheer scale and detail of this land is extraordinary. The two rides here are among the very best in the resort.

Rise of the Resistance is one of the most extraordinary theme park attractions ever created, and that is genuinely not an overstatement. This massive multi-room experience makes you a prisoner of the First Order, captured aboard a Star Destroyer and then rescued in a sequence involving trackless ride vehicles, enormous set pieces, and a finale that leaves first-time riders completely speechless. You don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to be blown away by this attraction. It is long, immersive, and absolutely worth a Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Tomorrowland Rides and Attractions

Tomorrowland at Disneyland has always been Walt Disney’s vision of the future, and while the future has a way of catching up with itself, the land continues to evolve and entertain. It’s home to Space Mountain, one of the most iconic roller coasters anywhere in the world, along with the beloved Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, the classic Astro Orbitor, and the Disneyland Monorail.

Astro Orbitor

Fly your own rocket ship high above Tomorrowland in this spinning, high-flying attraction. Autopia

One of Disneyland’s original opening day attractions, Autopia lets guests drive their own gas-powered car through a miniature futuristic speedway. The cars are guided by a rail so there’s no real steering involved, but that rarely diminishes the excitement for young drivers who have been waiting their whole vacation for this moment.

  • Lightning Lane: Yes (Multi Pass)
  • Attraction Length: About 5-6 minutes

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

The Evil Emperor Zurg is stealing batteries to power a weapon of destruction, and Buzz Lightyear needs your help! The Disneyland Monorail is a classic, one of the first daily operating monorails in the Western Hemisphere. It makes a loop between Tomorrowland and the Downtown Disney District, offering a relaxing, elevated view of the resort. It’s fun, nostalgic, and a genuinely practical way to travel if you’re heading toward the front of the park.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

Board a submarine and dive into the ocean world of Nemo, Dory, and friends in this slow-moving underwater attraction. • Who Should Ride: Anyone who doesn’t mind tighter spaces

Space Mountain

Space Mountain is one of the most iconic roller coasters in the world, and the Disneyland version is particularly beloved. This indoor coaster races through near-total darkness with unexpected dips and sharp turns that feel far more intense than the actual speed warrants. Seasonally, the ride receives a Star Wars overlay and is renamed Hyperspace Mountain. A Single Rider Line is available for those who don’t mind going solo.

  • Height Restrictions: 40 inches or taller
  • Lightning Lane: Yes (Multi Pass)
  • Attraction Length: About 3 minutes
  • Who Should Ride: Anyone who meets the height requirement and enjoys coasters
  • When to Visit: First hour of the day or anytime with a LL Multi Pass

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

Star Tours sends you on a randomized Star Wars mission in a 3D simulator, with dozens of possible adventure combinations drawing from characters and locations across the entire saga. No two rides are exactly alike, which makes it endlessly replayable. The simulator does move, so guests prone to motion sickness may want to take note.

  • Height Restrictions: 40 inches or taller
  • Lightning Lane: Yes (Multi Pass)
  • Attraction Length: About 5 minutes
  • Who Should Ride: Anyone who meets the height requirement and can handle simulators
