Avengers Campus in California Adventure is Now Open!
The Avengers Campus in California Adventure officially opened on June 4, 2021! This brand-new area features a new attraction, unique shopping destinations, and several themed dining options. (Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! was already open and ultimately became part of the Avengers Campus area.)

Attractions
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
- Height Restrictions: Any height may enjoy
- About the Attraction: When Spider-Bots malfunction and get stuck in replication mode (and make their escape from a WEB Workshop), you will join Spider-Man in defeating them before they wreak havoc on the Avengers Campus. This is a brand new family-friendly ride that will be interactive and allow you to take part in all the superhero action.
- Genie+ Attraction: The Lightning Lane of this top-tier attraction is only available as an Individual Attraction purchase and not included as part of Genie+.
- Virtual Queue: The virtual queue for this ride was paused on November 4, 2021, but it may be utilized in the future during busier seasons.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
*This existing ride (previously in Hollywood Land) was folded into the new Avengers Campus.
- Height Restrictions: 40 inches or taller may enjoy
- About the Attraction: This dark ride based on the Guardians of the Galaxy is definitely a thrill ride. (Sudden drops in the dark can be quite thrilling!) While this ride certainly has its “ups and downs” (pun intended!), it isn’t necessarily scary. In fact, you will most likely find yourself laughing for most of the ride.

Hero Encounters
Ancient Sanctum
Guests will be given the opportunity to “explore the ruins of a mysterious ancient sanctum.” Learn from Doctor Strange as he reveals “mysteries of the multiverse.” Also, this area is rumored to have “magical energy” at night, so you definitely won’t want to miss the chance to visit after dark!
Avengers Headquarters
Here you will encounter some of your favorite superheroes including Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Thor, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, the Wasp, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Recruits will even be given the opportunity to train with Black Panther’s bodyguards – the Dora Milaje. (Rumor has it that you may even see some high-flying action from Spider-Man!)
