Live Entertainment at Disney World: The Complete Guide to Must-See Shows
Some of the best live entertainment I have ever seen has been inside a Disney park. That might sound like an exaggeration, but I genuinely mean it. Disney invests in its shows in a way that most theme parks simply do not, and the result is a collection of stage productions, parades, and nighttime spectaculars that rival what you would find in a major theater district.
The challenge with live entertainment at Disney World is that there is so much of it spread across four parks that it is easy to either overlook it entirely or underestimate how good it actually is. This guide covers the best shows, parades, and nighttime experiences across the resort, organized by park, so you can plan your days around the ones that matter most to your family.

Live Entertainment at Disney World: A Few Things to Know First

Before diving into the individual shows, a few general tips that apply across the board.
Show times are listed in the My Disney Experience app and change regularly, including seasonally. Always check the app on the morning of your park day to confirm current times, since what is listed online may differ from what is actually running that day.
For popular shows with stadium-style seating like Festival of the Lion King or the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, arriving 20 to 30 minutes early is strongly recommended. These fill up quickly and a late arrival often means a poor viewing spot or being turned away entirely. For outdoor viewing experiences like parades and nighttime spectaculars, arriving early to claim a spot along the route or near the water can make a significant difference in the quality of your experience.
Some live entertainment at Disney World changes seasonally or is updated over time. The lineup I have covered here reflects what is currently running, and I update this post regularly as changes are announced.
Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom has some of the most beloved live entertainment in all of Walt Disney World, and its nighttime offerings in particular are among the best in the theme park world.
Festival of Fantasy Parade
The daytime parade at Magic Kingdom is one of the most visually impressive in any Disney park. Festival of Fantasy runs through the park in the early afternoon and features elaborate floats inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar stories, from Sleeping Beauty and Tangled to The Little Mermaid and Brave. The costumes, the floats, and the original music make it a genuine highlight of any Magic Kingdom day. Securing a spot along the parade route about 20 to 30 minutes before showtime is worth the effort, especially on a busy day when the good spots fill up fast.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away
Magic Kingdom welcomed its first nighttime parade in nearly a decade when Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away debuted in 2025, and it has quickly become one of the most talked-about additions to the park in years. The parade features illuminated floats and costumes that glow and shimmer in the dark, paying homage to the beloved nighttime parades of Magic Kingdom’s past while bringing something entirely new to the experience. It runs after dark and is absolutely worth staying in the park for. The lights along Main Street are dimmed during the parade, which makes the whole thing feel magical in a way that is hard to describe until you see it.
Happily Ever After Fireworks
The nightly fireworks show over Cinderella Castle is one of the quintessential Walt Disney World experiences, and it earns that reputation. Happily Ever After combines fireworks, projections on the castle, and an emotionally powerful soundtrack of Disney music into a show that genuinely moves people, including those who have seen it dozens of times. Even if you are not typically a fireworks person, this one is worth staying for at least once. Find your spot along Main Street or the hub in front of the castle at least 30 to 45 minutes before showtime, especially on busy evenings.
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
This daytime stage show takes place several times daily on the forecourt stage in front of Cinderella Castle, and it is a wonderful option for families with younger children who want a character-heavy entertainment experience without a long wait. The show features Mickey, Minnie, and friends gathering characters from different Disney films for a celebration, and the stage itself in front of the castle provides a beautiful backdrop.
EPCOT

EPCOT’s entertainment landscape is unique among the four parks, leaning heavily into live music, cultural performances, and festival programming that gives the park a distinctly grown-up atmosphere in the evenings.
Luminous: The Symphony of Us
EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular is one of the most visually stunning shows in all of Walt Disney World. Luminous: The Symphony of Us unfolds over World Showcase Lagoon with a combination of fireworks, fountains, laser effects, and projections that tell a story of connection and togetherness through Disney music. It runs once each evening, typically right before the park closes, which means you need to plan your EPCOT day around it rather than stumble upon it. The best viewing spots are along the World Showcase Promenade near the Mexico, Canada, or Japan pavilions. Arrive at least 30 minutes early for a good spot.
Voices of Liberty
This is one of the most underrated entertainment experiences in all of Walt Disney World, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The Voices of Liberty is an a cappella group that performs American patriotic and folk songs inside the rotunda of the American Adventure pavilion. The acoustics in that rotunda are extraordinary, and the talent of the performers is genuinely impressive. Performances typically happen several times throughout the day, and because most guests walk right past without stopping, the “audience” is often small and the experience feels intimate and special. Sitting on the floor of the rotunda gives you the best acoustic experience.
¡Celebración Encanto!
This lively sing-along stage show at CommuniCore Plaza celebrates the music and characters of Encanto, featuring songs from the film performed live with character appearances woven throughout. It is a fun, energetic show that runs several times daily and is especially popular with younger kids and Encanto fans of any age.
World Showcase Performers
Scattered throughout the World Showcase pavilions are live performers who represent the cultures of their respective countries through music, dance, and storytelling. Mariachi bands in Mexico, taiko drummers in Japan, folk musicians in Canada and the United Kingdom, and more. These performances happen throughout the day and are listed in the My Disney Experience app, though part of the joy is simply wandering World Showcase and stumbling across them. They are an underappreciated part of what makes EPCOT feel different from every other park.
EPCOT Festival Concert Series
Throughout the year, EPCOT’s America Gardens Theatre hosts live concert series tied to the park’s four annual festivals. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series runs during the Festival of the Arts, featuring Broadway performers who have starred in major Disney productions. The Garden Rocks Concert Series runs during the Flower and Garden Festival, featuring classic rock and pop artists. The Eat to the Beat Concert Series runs during the Food and Wine Festival, one of the most popular events at Walt Disney World. And the Candlelight Processional, featuring celebrity narrators and a full orchestra and choir, runs during the Festival of the Holidays. All concerts are included with park admission, with dining packages available for guaranteed seating.
Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has become one of the strongest parks for live entertainment in recent years, with a mix of long-running classics and genuinely impressive newer additions.
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
This is one of the longest-running shows at Walt Disney World and one of the best. The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has been wowing guests since 1989 and remains one of the most impressive live shows in any theme park on earth. The production recreates iconic scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark using live stunt performers, pyrotechnics, and detailed sets, pulling audience members into the action and explaining some of the filmmaking magic behind the sequences. I saw this show as a kid with my parents and have since shared it with my own family. It holds up completely.
The amphitheater fills up fast, so arriving 20 to 30 minutes early is strongly recommended. Shows run several times daily.
Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
Debuting in 1991, this condensed stage retelling of the Disney classic is a Hollywood Studios staple that has endured for good reason. The 25-minute show covers the major beats of the film with live performers, beloved costumes, and the full musical score. It is a wonderful mid-day show to build your afternoon around, and the Theater of the Stars venue is covered, which makes it especially appealing on a hot or rainy Florida afternoon. Arrive early for good seats.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
The Frozen Sing-Along is a reliably delightful show that is equally enjoyed by kids and adults. Two “Royal Historians of Arendelle” narrate the history of the kingdom while clips from the film play and the audience is encouraged to sing along to the most beloved songs. Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff make appearances, and the whole thing runs about 30 minutes. It is especially popular with younger guests, but the humor is genuinely funny for adults too.
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After
This is one of the newer additions to Hollywood Studios entertainment and it has become a fast fan favorite. Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent each make their case for who among them has been treated most unfairly, and the result is a show that is funny, theatrical, and visually spectacular. The production quality is impressive, blending live performers with projected effects and a memorable finale. If you have a family that loves the villains as much as the heroes, do not skip this one.
The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure
This newer stage show brings Ariel’s story to life in a theatrical production that features live performers, elaborate costumes, and the beloved songs from the film. It is a beautiful show that younger kids especially love, and it fills up quickly. Check show times in the app on your park day and plan accordingly.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
Located in Animation Courtyard, this interactive 20-minute show is geared toward the youngest Disney fans. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto prepare for a Clubhouse party in a high-energy format that gets kids up and moving. If you are visiting with toddlers or preschool-age children, this is a must-see.
Fantasmic!
Fantasmic is one of the great nighttime spectacular experiences at Walt Disney World, and it is unlike anything else in any park. Mickey Mouse battles the forces of darkness in a show that uses water screens, pyrotechnics, live performers, and projected animation to tell an epic story of imagination versus fear. The amphitheater at Hollywood Studios holds thousands of guests but still fills up well in advance of showtime. A Fantasmic dining package is available at select Hollywood Studios restaurants for guaranteed seating, and it is well worth considering on a busy visit.
Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom’s entertainment leans heavily into its conservation mission and the natural beauty of the park itself, which gives its shows a distinctive character that sets them apart from what you will find at the other three parks.
Festival of the Lion King
If I had to pick one show across all of Walt Disney World that every family must see, this would be it. Festival of the Lion King is a 40-minute celebration featuring some of the most talented singers, dancers, acrobats, and stilt performers I have ever seen in a live show. The production is spectacular from start to finish, with familiar Lion King music performed live by an extraordinary cast in a stunning theater-in-the-round venue. My kids were 4 and 6 the first time we saw it and they were completely captivated from beginning to end. The theater fills up fast, so arriving 20 to 30 minutes early is a must.
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
This reimagined musical show at the Theater in the Wild brings the world of Finding Nemo to life with puppetry, original music, and a joyful energy that is hard to resist. The show takes what seems like an impossible concept (singing and dancing sea creatures on a live stage) and makes it work beautifully. It was reimagined in 2022 and is based on the original Finding Nemo film. It runs multiple times throughout the day and is worth fitting into your Animal Kingdom schedule.
Feathered Friends in Flight!
This free-flight bird show at the Anandapur Theater in Asia is a wonderful and often overlooked entertainment experience at Animal Kingdom. Trained birds of prey and other exotic species fly freely over and around the audience while knowledgeable cast members share information about conservation and the birds’ natural behaviors. It is educational, impressive, and genuinely thrilling when a bird swoops inches over your head. Check the app for show times.
Rivers of Light
Rivers of Light is Animal Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular, featuring floating lanterns, projected imagery, and water effects on the Discovery River. It is a quieter, more contemplative show than the fireworks spectaculars at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, befitting a park that closes earlier and has a different energy after dark. Check current show schedules in the My Disney Experience app, as the frequency of performances varies by season.
For the most up-to-date show schedules and performance times, always check the official Walt Disney World entertainment page and the My Disney Experience app before your visit.
