Your Guide to Bayou Country at the Disneyland Resort

Bayou Country at the Disneyland Resort is home to the newly reimagined Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as well as The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. This smaller land has experienced significant changes throughout the years. This smaller land has experienced significant changes throughout the years. Originally known as “Indian Village,” it later evolved into “Bear Country” in 1972, showcasing the popular Country Bear Jamboree. However, the opening of Splash Mountain in 1989 prompted another renaming, resulting in what became known as Critter Country. In 2024, the area once again evolved with the reimagining of the iconic Splash Mountain. The land is now known as Bayou Country in honor of the brand-new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Even though it’s smaller in size compared to other “lands” in Disneyland, Bayou Country is a must-see!

Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes

Paddle in a canoe down the Rivers of America. This ride is only open seasonally and when the weather permits.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Take a ride in a giant beehive through the hundred-acre wood in this slow-moving, dark ride.

Who Should Enjoy: Anyone
When to Visit: Anytime

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The iconic Splash Mountain attraction was officially rethemed and now features Tiana and friends. The ride itself uses the same track as the original attraction, but now guests get to sing along with Tiana as she seeks out critter musicians for her new restaurant. Be prepared to make a splash with an iconic 50-foot drop!

Attraction Length: About 10 minutes
Who Should Ride: Anyone who meets the height requirement (and who doesn’t mind a big drop!)
When to Visit: First hour of the day or anytime with a LL Multi Pass
